The Heart Behind Field Day 2025
As we “Kick Off Summer 2025”, we are doing so for the first time as one united Dallas Campus! We have moved the celebration offsite due to the growing gardens and tree hazards at Temple Shalom. We hope this event is a fun one for our children!
Please pray that we have no rain the day of and the weekend prior to Field Day, so that Field Day can proceed as planned. If God chooses to water His Earth, we will embrace what He has allowed and move the fun indoors to Plan B. Each Classroom parent volunteer will communicate options for you to celebrate the end of the school year with your children and their classmates.
Getting there:
Please pay attention to the graphic showing carline traffic flow, and the staggered carline drop off and pick up times. We want to be considerate to the neighborhood surrounding Churchill Park. If you are able to carpool with friends, that will help.

All kids wear any CDA spirit shirt and any tennis shoes theychoose.
All kids will receive a colored bandana to wear while at field day. This helps volunteers keep the grade levels together. We encourage kids to go all out and dress in athletic shorts, socks, etc. in their grade color!
We will have face paint and eye black to get their game faces ready to compete!

What else should I know?
The closest restrooms are up the hill at the Churchill Recreation Center. Please have your child go to the restroom before arriving at Field Day. We will assist children getting across the street safely as needed, but they will likely miss some of the races.
We will have a popsicles and water station for the kids to enjoy a 20-minute break during Field Day as we have in years past.
Parent Volunteers:
You will be receiving a detailed email with all the information you need prior to field day. The power point deck will include station locations, class rotation plan, and the logistics of each station. It will also include Plan B options should we need them.
